Graduate profile |
Based on modern approaches to scientific description of the language, graduates will extend their system knowledge of French language. Synchronic study of linguistic phenomena is also enriched with diachronic aspects, in accordance with current linguistic tendencies. Graduates will acquire knowledge of syntax of contemporary French, linguistics and pragmalinguistics. In the context of literary disciplines, graduates will extend and deepen their knowledge of the basics of literary history and text work acquired during their Bachelor's studies, especially as regards the earlier development phases of French literature and French-language literature. Due to their advanced linguistic, cultural and communication training, graduates will be able to find employment wherever a public or private employer requires a high level of linguistic knowledge, intercultural competences, and independent, critical and creative thinking, in positions such as a translator, an editor, a liaison officer with a francophone environment, public relations, etc. Because of the dual specialisation structure of the study, the employability of graduates in the labour market is more universal. |
